Slideshow Images © Compassionate Journeys Ghana Flood Relief Hopscotch found out through our in country partner that there has been major flooding in parts of Accra, Ghana and in the Central Region. This severe flooding has even caused some fatalities. The Christ Outreach Orphanage was badly affected and all of their food, clothes, bedding, desks, books, toys, etc. are gone. Thankfully, the children are all safe and were evacuated during the night to stay with families in the region that are on higher ground. Clean up has begun, but there is extensive damage and a lot of sitting water still remaining. Our in country partner has reached out to us for assistance in fundraising. He has stated that there is a need for immediate assistance to help get the Christ Outreach orphanage up and running with the basic necessities the children need.
